PRINT COLLECTIONS
Our new book collection is displayed along the east wall of the library.
We order all the best sellers. We have over 85 magazines, including
many for children of all ages. We have
several daily and weekly local and out-of-town newspapers
which may be borrowed or read in the library.
We have a growing collection of large print books, large print mystery, western and romance books. In cooperation with the local
schools, our collection includes the Accelerated Readers. Each year
we add the new books on the Ohio Reading Circle list.
NON-PRINT COLLECTIONS
There are over 700 VHS tapes, 900 DVD's and 300 music CD's to choose
from. We also have an ever-growing selection of books-on-tape (both in
tape and CD format).
COMPUTERS
Six (6) Gateway Computers with Internet Access* with Microsoft Windows XP
Professional available for patron use. Printer
copies are 15¢ each and disks are $1.00 each.
Wireless* is also available to library patrons.
*As
a School District Library we adhere to the school policy for Internet use.
All public access Internet computers are filtered. With proper photo
identification, a library employee may lift the filter for adult patrons 18
years or older.
PRO-IMAGE PLUS POSTER PRINTER
Available in-house. Print posters and/or banners. Posters $4.00
each. Banner cost based on length of banner.
FAX
We will send faxes for a fee of $1.00 per page. There is a $1.00 per
document fee to receive a fax.
LAMINATING
We can laminate items up to 25 inches wide for a fee of 10¢ per inch with a
minimum charge of $1.00.
PHOTOCOPIER
Copies are 15¢ each on white paper.
MICROFILM READER/PRINTER
Microfilm of Montpelier's weekly newspaper, The Leader Enterprise, is
available from 1880 to the present. Printer copies are 10¢ each.
PRINTER / SCANNER / COPIER
HP 1350 All-In-One Printer / Scanner / Copier available on site for patron
use. Printing and copying charges apply.
TELE-SENSORY ALADDIN READER
Available on site for patron use.
BINDING SYSTEM
Spiral binding system available on site for patron use. Minimal charge
for spiral.
NOTARY PUBLIC
This service is free, but please call first and bring photo ID.
VOTER REGISTRATION
Voter Registration forms available at Circulation Desk.
TAX FORMS
During tax season, federal and state tax forms are available.
POSTAGE STAMPS
Postage stamps are available at our Circulation Desk at a cost of 42¢ each.
MEETING ROOM
The meeting room is available for use by non-profit organizations on a first
come, first served basis when not being used for library functions. A
kitchenette and TV/VCR/DVD are available to use upon request.
LIBRARY CARDS
To get a library card, the patron must be at least six years old. The first
card is free and replacements are 50¢ each. Cards are good for five years
and are renewable after that time.
LOAN PERIODS
A patron in good standing may check out as many books and books-on-tape as
he likes for a two-week period, six (6) magazines for a one-week period,
three (3) CDs for a one-week period, and three (3) videos and/or three
(3) DVD's for a five-day
period.
TEACHER BENEFITS
Teachers may check out materials for classroom use for an extended period of
time. With advanced notice, we will gladly gather materials for teachers and
will accept required study lists. Tours and special programs are also
available for classes. Teachers may apply for a Teachers card.
RENEWALS
Books, magazines, and CDs are renewable for a similar length of time unless
another patron has requested the item. Renewals
and reserves may be done over the phone. Please have your library card
number ready. Renewals may also be done from our website.
BOOK RESERVES
You may request to have an item put on reserve for you. When your name comes
up, we will call you that the item is ready for you to borrow.
FINES
The fine on books, magazines, and CDs returned late is 10¢ per day that the
library is open. The fine on Books on Tape
& Books on CD returned late is 50¢ per day that the library is open.
The fine on "Browsing" items returned late
is 50¢ per day that the library is open.
The fine on movies (VHS & DVD) that are returned late is $1.00 per day.
A patron may not check out library materials if
he/she has a fine of $1.00 or more.
INTER-LIBRARY LOAN
If we don't have the material you need, we will make every effort to borrow
what you need from another library.
GENEALOGY
Our resources include an obituary file, marriage, cemetery, and census
records.
